Glazing ceramic projects

We are glazing and firing the ceramics made during the past two weeks. Liquid glaze is painted on the bisque piece which then looks chalky. The real magic happens in the kiln. With heat up to Cone 6, the glaze melts and forms a glass like finish. End of Semester Celebrations

Please join us during your student's class period
for a celebration of art created in
room 517 this semester.
Friday Jan 15th

Students will finish their final projects (scratch art Aesop Fables in 8th grade and octagonal weaving in 7th grade) by Thursday. The concluding activity is to create a Table of Contents for their sketchbook of all the projects this semester.

Friday they will write a reflection, watch a slide show of themselves at work, and then celebrate with treats. Students in each class have volunteered to bring snacks.
